A Matter of Balance workshop includes eight two-hour sessions led by trained facilitators. A Matter of Balance program emphasizes practical strategies to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels for adults who:
- Have a fear of falling or have fallen in the past
- Restrict activities because of a concern about falling
- Are interested in improving flexibility and increasing activity level
- Are 60 or older, ambulatory and able to problem solve
