We often see how unexpected expenses for our clients, even those that may seem minor, lead to significant problems that affect their health, welfare, and quality of life. The inability to get ahead of regular bills and save money to make plans or improvements furthers the cycle of poverty and makes self-sufficiency very difficult. The Unmet Needs Fund is currently funded through staff contributions and donations. It has been used to assist clients with things such as purchasing equipment for improved safety in the home and helping with a rent payment to avoid eviction while on the waiting list for lower cost housing. Funds are used for one time assistance that will have a lasting impact and help provide stability and improved health. Having a larger fund to draw upon will allow us to assist more people and expand the type of assistance we can provide.
We look forward to seeing you there!
