Here at Region 2 Area Agency on aging, we advocate for issues that affect seniors and people with disabilities in our community. We have members on the Michigan Senior Advocates Council (MSAC), an action team of senior leaders who have a major impact on the lives of older Michiganians. Started in 1977 by the Area Agencies on Aging Association, MSAC has meets monthly and advocates on behalf of seniors across the state.
Ways you can get involved:

Contact your local, state, and federal representatives to help them understand the need to support aging and disability services.
Remember when contacting a legislator to be polite, focus on the issue, thank them for listening, stay within the time allotted for the meeting/call, and follow up with any information requested. To find your state legislators visit http://www.michigan.gov
